If you love texting and want to spend a few hours offline, the New Phone Who Dis game might just be the one for you.

In this text message party game for adults, you receive a very interesting text message and decide how you want respond.

Overall, it’s a cute game. Plus, it’s well-themed. Even the rulebook is designed to look like a text message thread. As a graphic designer by day, I can appreciate that.

How do you play the New Phone Who Dis game?

There are two ways to play New Phone Who Dis, classic and DIY mode.

Classic mode plays very much like any other card party game on the market. First, you separate the inbox cards and the reply cards.

Then, everyone draws seven reply cards. The oldest player starts as the judge.

The judge draws an inbox card from the top of the deck and reads it out loud.

Then, the rest of the group selects the funniest reply card to go with the inbox card. Everyone passes their replies to the judge, face down.

The judge then shuffles and reads the card out loud, selecting the funniest reply, and thus, you have a winner.

The winner keeps the winning pair as a point. Everyone draws back up to seven.

How to play the DIY version

If you want more of a challenge, you can try the DIY version. Again, separate the inbox card deck and reply card deck.

Then, distribute four of each to each player.

Each round, a player creates a combo using one of each. Then, they pass the pairs to the rotating judge, who selects the funniest combination once again.

This can be a fun way to play, but keep in mind that it can be tricky to keep up with the correct pairings.

How does the game end?

People play until they get tired or bored. Literally, that’s how the rules state it.

Try not to overthink this game. The player with the most points wins.
